Dear partners, representatives of civil society in Kazakhstan,

The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Kazakhstan launches a survey being conducted as part of the update of the EU Roadmap for engagement with Civil Society for the period 2021-2027.

In order to get a clearer overview of the state-of-play of civil society in Kazakhstan, we would like to ask you to fill out the below questionnaire. It consists of a number of straightforward questions and you can skip any question that is not relevant to your organisation. Deadline is extended until 11 April 2022.

By answering to this survey, you will be able to convey your views on how the context for Civil Society is evolving in Kazakhstan, highlighting the main challenges Civil Society is confronted with. Your views will be essential to reflect on the strategic aspects regarding the role of civil society, providing us with comparative information, data and concrete actions to support a better engagement of the EU with civil society in Kazakhstan. On the basis of your responses, the EU will update its strategy to support CSOs in Kazakhstan for the period 2021-2027.

Please note that all responses to this questionnaire will be treated with utmost confidentiality. The anonymized quantitative and qualitative results will be analysed and contribute to the drafting of the EU Roadmap for engagement with CSOs in Kazakhstan.
