Japan: Team Europe organises documentary film screening in solidarity with Ukraine

Ahead of the third anniversary of Russia's unprovoked and unjustified full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ambassadors of the European Union (EU) and its Member States in Japan marked the sombre occasion with a special screening of the Academy Award-winning documentary, '20 Days in Mariupol' that was also attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine Sergiy Korsunski, and State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Hisayuki Fujii.
The screening was preceded by a cello performance of Ukrainian composer Zoltan Almashi's piece 'Maria's City' by Ukrainian cellist Iana Lavrova – an evacuee who now performs in Japan – and Japanese cellist Yui Arai.
A display of a collection of Motanka dolls, traditional Ukrainian guardian dolls, also welcomed the guests.
