Europe Day celebrated in Jakarta

The EU Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei, the EU Delegation to ASEAN and the EIB Regional Representation for Southeast Asia and the Pacific jointly hosted a Europe Day reception on 15 May 2024 in Jakarta.

The Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs H.E. Hadi Tjajjanto graced the event as Guest-of-Honour. Other dignitaries included the Indonesian Minister for Tourism and Creative Economies H.E. Sandiaga Uno, the Indonesian Vice Minister of Manpower H.E. Afriansyah Noor and the ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General for Community and Corporate Affairs H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto.

Attending the event were more than 850 guests from EU Member States, the Indonesian government, the ASEAN Secretariat, the diplomatic community, the business circle, civil society representatives, Erasmus alumni and the media.

The highlight of the event was a performance by the EU Choir, comprising staff of the EU Delegation and embassies of EU Member States.
