Batch 2022-2023 Erasmus, Now in Europe!
I find this programme a perfect balance between theory and practice. Moreover, the programme is about embracing a new culture, making friends from every part of the world and immersing yourself into a new community at a global level.
In one word, I would describe the experience as ‘Viksit’ (in Hindi) which means personal growth and development.
- Preeti Verma, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Intelligent Field Robotic systems, 2022, based in Budapest, Hungary
The programme taught me a lot about adaptability and surviving in a new culture. It also introduced me to the great diversity in class. I have always been curious about Spain and I tried to learn about it before but thanks to the Erasmus opportunity I am able to identify many nuances, make local friends, and have local experiences.
In one word, the experience has been enriching. I learnt some Spanish as well. I am grateful!
- Soumik Sengupta, Erasmus Exchange Grant in Mobility Studies, 2023, based in Sevilla, Spain
It has been a transformative experience in my life. It was a proud moment for me in India to be hosted by the European Commission at the Spanish embassy.
Being part of this mobility programme is a wonderful experience and allows me to meet and interact with diverse people. We were warmly welcomed by the city as well as by the university. When we travel, we share our cultures and values. This is a badge of honor that I would carry throughout my lifetime, and it will propel my career to new heights.

About Erasmus
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) are high-level and integrated study programmes, at master level. They are designed and delivered by an international partnership of higher education institutions. An EMJM involves at least three Higher Education Institutions from three different countries, of which at least two must be EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme (previously called Programme Countries).
The EU provides funding for running the programme and offers competitive scholarships to the best students worldwide. 174 Indian students, over 50% of them women, have been awarded the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the degree programmes starting in the academic year 2023-24. This is the biggest-ever cohort of Indian students to be awarded scholarships under an annual selection. Find below the testimonials of the scholars.
