The European Union Prize for Literature and EU grants to Icelandic creative industries were highlighted at the Reykjavík Book Fair 2024 which took place in Harpa Concert Hall this weekend. The Minister of Culture and Business, Ms. Lilja Dögg Alfreðsdóttir, gave a speech at the EU Delegation's reception for book publishers and authors following the book fair.

Akureyri Art Museum was buzzing with energy during the Boreal Screendance Festival. Over 200 guests attended the opening event of the European Month of Film 2024 which was held in Bíó Paradís on 3 November 2024. This is the third time the European Month of Film is held. The festival will end on the 7 December 2024 when the European Film Awards are held in Lucerne, Switzerland.
