EU ramped up Pride
During Reykjavík Pride, all LGBTIQ+ people and supporters should be able to enjoy the Pride festivities. The EU Delegation to Iceland alongside the Embassies of France, Finland, Germany, and Sweden, funded accessibility measures during the festival, including a wheelchair ramp and sign language interpretation for those who needed it. The Delegation has funded Reykjavík Pride’s accessibility measures for the past five years, and is proud to continue that collaboration.
EU Ambassador to Iceland, Lucie Samcová-Hall Allen, and delegation staff attended the Pride Parade alongside their colleagues in other foreign embassies in Iceland, as it is a long-standing tradition for diplomats in Iceland to walk hand in hand in the parade. The day was sunny, beautiful, and full of love as thousands united in diversity.
