Erasmus+ Program

Erasmus+ is the European Union's flagship program. For more than thirty years, the program has enabled more than four million students to study, train and gain experience abroad.

Erasmus+ is the European Union (EU) program for education, training, youth and sport, in force for the period 2021-2027. Erasmus+ funds mobility and academic cooperation projects between the 27 EU Member States and six other European partner countries and non-partner countries around the world.

Erasmus+ supports activities that are closely related to common cooperation policy priorities with partner countries and regions, including Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Countries in these two regions can participate with European partners in a variety of mobility and academic cooperation projects. This factsheet examines the degree of popularity of these initiatives with LAC countries in the current Erasmus+ program (2021-2027) and the previous one (2014-2020).
