The Far Ban Bo project (meaning ‘protecting the fishing livelihoods’ in fante) aims to contribute to sustainable fisheries resources management, as well as to improve food security and livelihoods of smallholder fishermen and fishing communities in Ghana.
In the Whuti and Keta communities of the Volta region, the Far Ban Bo project has helped secure the landing beach against encroachment.
Far Ban Bo is funded by the European Union and implemented jointly by a CARE, Friends of the Nation (FoN) and Oxfam.
