Call for Proposals - EU Support to Civil Society Organisations in Ghana

27.03.2023

The European Union has launched a Call for Proposals to provide funding support to enhance civil society's capacity to address governance and development challenges in Ghana, particularly through policy dialogue, advocacy and the monitoring of national development policies.

The funds have been pooled from three instruments and are divided into three lots:

The first lot of this Call is financed under the Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI) - Global Europe multi-annual action plan of the thematic programme on Civil Society Organisations (2021-2024). It builds on the achievements and lessons learnt from the Civil Society Organisations and Local Authorities (CSO-LA) programme of 2014-2020.

The second lot is financed under the NDICI-Global Europe multi-annual action plan for the thematic programme on Human Rights and Democracy for 2021-2024. Its key objective is to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law worldwide.

The third lot is financed under the geographic envelope of the NDICI, specifically the Support Measures of the Annual Action Plan 2022 for Ghana. Its key objective is strengthening civil society governance, accountability and engagement in public affairs.
