Call for Proposals: EU-Ghana Youth Empowerment Programme
The action funded under the EU-Ghana Youth Empowerment Programme must be implemented by a consortium of organisations capable of executing the entire programme in a comprehensive and cohesive manner, including acting as fund manager for the financial support to third parties.
Proposals must focus on all three outputs below:
- Capacity building of youth-led and youth-focused Civil Society Organisations tailored on their needs, including in management, communication, fundraising, coordination, networking, financial accountability, policy dialogue and advocacy.
- Youth organisations are provided with the necessary financial resources (financial support to third parties) to implement projects and activities to contribute to sustainable development and drive positive change in their communities.
- Comprehensive programmes empowering social entrepreneurs and change-makers, including youth incubators for social change, which aims at providing young leaders and entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and resources to develop their ideas and social initiatives from planning to implementation are supported.
At least 35% of the budget should be allocated to financial support to third parties.
Support for youth initiatives is particularly encouraged in the following sectors: environmental protection, culture and creative industries, peace and security, and gender empowerment
The lead applicant must involve at least one Ghanaian youth organisation operating in Ghana at national or local level as a co-applicant.
