LIVE TV Panel Discussion on Violence against Women and Girls in Fiji

26.11.2024

Violence against women is one of the most frequent human rights violations worldwide, also in Europe and the Pacific. The European Union is working with partners in the Pacific to end gender-based violence.

Join us on the occasion of 16 Days of Activism to End Violence against Women and Girls for a crucial panel discussion on gender-based violence and on how to “Break the Silence. End the Violence.”

Organised by the Delegation of the European Union to the Pacific in collaboration with UN Women, it is a FREE public event that will bring together leading experts, representatives from faith based organisations, academia and other partners to discuss the challenges underlying gender-based violence and engage Fijians in a national discussion on the issue.

The panel discussion will be aired live on Fiji Television and the European Union to the Pacific Facebook page from 7pm on 9 December, providing an opportunity to raise awareness and foster dialogue about gender-based violence and how to take action to eliminate it at all levels of society.
