16 Days of Activism in Ethiopia

Les violences basées sur le genre touchent des millions de femmes et de filles chaque année, transcendantes aux frontières, aux cultures et aux générations. En Tunisie, la Délégation de l'Union européenne (DUE) s’est engagée avec force dans la campagne mondiale des 16 jours d’activisme contre les violences faites aux femmes et aux filles, en organisant deux événements phares, articulés autour de l’art et de l’engagement collectif.

10 December 2024, Mogadishu – EUCAP Somalia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Fisheries and Blue Economy, hosted a two-day workshop in Mogadishu to empower women in the fisheries sector by addressing systemic barriers and enhancing leadership opportunities across the fisheries value chain. The event concluded with a commitment to advancing gender equality and sustainability in Somalia’s maritime industries.

As part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, EUPM Moldova aims to raise awareness about cyberviolence against women and proposes a series of cybersecurity tips that can be implemented at individual level to minimise risks and exposure.

On the occasion of 16 Days of Activism to End Violence against Women and Girls, the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Pacific partnered with UN Women Pacific to organise a Panel discussion on Gender-Based Violence in Suva, Fiji on 09 December. The event was broadcast live on Fiji TV as well as the Delegation’s Facebook page.
