I extend a warm welcome to you to the official website of the European Union in Costa Rica. It is an honor for me to share this space with you, where you will find insights into the European Union’s commitment and activities. This site serves as a window into the fruitful collaboration and deep partnership we have developed with Costa Rica, a nation that shares our values and aspirations for a prosperous and sustainable future.
Under the European Global Gateway strategy, which aims to promote smart, clean, and secure links in digital, energy, and transport sectors, as well as to strengthen health, education, and research systems worldwide, we will work even more closely with Costa Rica—one of our key partners in the Latin American region. Together, we have strengthened areas of common interest such as economic development, environmental sustainability, the promotion of human rights, and innovation.
I am excited about the journey we will undertake together and the collaboration that will allow us to work on projects that create a positive impact on people’s lives and reflect our shared values.
I invite you to explore our website, learn about our initiatives, as well as our current and future projects. You will also find valuable resources on bilateral cooperation, European culture, and the events we celebrate.
