China is a large agricultural country. In the year of 2020, the national fruit and vegetable production exceeded 1 billion tons, while package for logistics and transport remains mainly single-use. According to statistics, single-use packaging for fruits and vegetables has amounted to over 17 million pieces in Qingdao - the city where we carried out a pilot in logistics sector. What have we learned from the pilot? If this packaging can be replaced by reusable options, the amount of single-use plastics could significantly be reduced at source.
