Under the high patronage of the President of CAR, EUAM RCA initiates its Steering Committee and advocates mandate expansion
On this occasion, the President urged the European Union to expand the Mission's mandate, emphasizing the inclusion of civil protection and the establishment of multipurpose units. He also called for the Mission to go beyond its advisory capacities and to engage in enhancing operational capabilities, in line with the EUCAP concept. Recognizing these priorities, the Steering Committee incorporated these desires into its final recommendations.
The Mission EUAM RCA, initiated on August 9th 2020, and extended until August 9th 2024, views this Committee as a pivotal instrument in fulfilling its mandate, ensuring that EUAM RCA's initiatives align with the ever-changing needs on the ground.
