EU Delegation to Canada Leads EU Shoreline Cleanup Campaign in Ottawa, joining Delegations Worldwide
More than 40 participants joined forces, collecting over 200 pounds of waste, including plastics, debris, and other pollutants threatening coastal environments. This initiative highlighted not only the necessity of environmental protection but also the critical role of community involvement in addressing global challenges such as pollution and climate change.
The EU Beach Cleanup Campaign reflects the European Union’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the protection of biodiversity. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the volunteers and partners whose contributions made this event possible.
The EU Delegation to Canada looks forward to expanding the campaign with even greater community involvement in 2025. For more information about the EU Beach Cleanup Campaign, please visit https://oceans-and-fisheries.ec.europa.eu/eu-beach-cleanup_en
