The BELLA Programme, a key initiative, establishes a transatlantic submarine cable connecting the EU and Brazil, fostering collaboration in research and innovation. The BELLA consortium, backed by over €53 million in public-private partnership, ensures a direct, high-speed, and secure data link between the regions. This flagship initiative aims to boost smart, clean, and secure links in digital, energy, and transport, while strengthening global health, education, and research systems.
