Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI)

E-READI is a demand-driven cooperation programme that facilitates dialogue fora between the European Union (EU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on currently 27 joint priority policy areas in 5 sectors.

Duration: 2017-2025

Amount: €20 million

The overall objective of E-READI is to support ASEAN integration aiming at poverty reduction through inclusive and sustainable growth.

Its specific objective is to support the implementation of the ASEAN Community Blueprints, drawing on European experience and know-how through sectoral policy dialogues.

E-READI operates within the context of the ASEAN-EU Plan of Action 2018-2022; the Plan of Action to Implement the ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership 2023-2027; the ASEAN Vision 2025: Forging Ahead Together and its three Community Blueprints; the Initiative for ASEAN Integration Work Programme III and IV; the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); the Addis Ababa Agenda of 2015; the Paris Agreement on Climate Change of 2015; the Glasgow Climate Pact of 2021, and the European Consensus on Development of 2017. These policy documents inform and inspire cooperation under E-READI.

E-READI support to EU-ASEAN dialogue fora includes establishing contacts, strengthening networks, developing studies, arranging seminars, workshops and meetings to exchange knowledge or facilitating participation in such, building capacity and much more.
