The EU Delegation to Armenia is here to contribute to the development of cooperation, relations and partnership between the European Union and Armenia. We aim to provide you with accurate and user-friendly information on the European Union and developments in EU-Armenia relations.

We work to promote the EU-Armenia cooperation on the basis of common interests and shared values. We also work to improve the lives of the people of Armenia through programmes of assistance, cooperation and development and we attach a lot of importance to projects, which address the daily lives of people, but also the creation of sustainable results, which will produce positive long-term impact.  My mission is to work hand-in-hand with all our Armenian partners to strengthen the EU-Armenia cooperation based on shared interests and common values.

The relations between EU and Armenia have improved both qualitatively and quantitatively. The CEPA (Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between EU and Armenia) entered into force in March 2021 and is being implemented meticulously. It is the main tool of bringing EU and Armenia closer together.

The EU Mission in Armenia was established in February 2023 and it has already contributed to increased safety and human security in the border areas. President of European Council and EU Special Representative for Southern Caucasus aim to help to find a path towards Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization.

We support democratic and economic reforms in Armenia. Together with 10 EU member states and other partners we initiated a Team Europe Initiative focusing on strengthening the resilience of the southern province of Syunik; this has already mobilised more than € 100 million. I am pleased to note that the EU’s overall portfolio of ongoing projects is already more than € 300 million in grant assistance. On top of that, we have mobilized roughly 350 million EUR blending loans and grants to implement the European Investment Plan and will accelerate work together with our Armenian partners and International Financial Institutions until its completion. .

Armenia is a country I personally know very well through my previous involvement in EU-Armenia cooperation on behalf of the European Commission, and my knowledge and admiration of Armenian culture and history. It is an honour to serve as an ambassador of the EU in Armenia and to have the opportunity to further promote the links between the EU and Armenia for the benefit of citizens.
