Dear visitor,

Welcome to the European Union Delegation to Afghanistan.

Our mission is to support the Afghan people – women, men, and youth – in building resilience and addressing the country’s challenges, including climate change, from a regional perspective.

Stability and security in Afghanistan are of mutual interest. We focus on capacity building for individuals and communities, enhancing skills, and promoting sustainable business practices. By educating and training young people, we empower them to harness Afghanistan's rich resources rather than allowing them to be exploited. Our goal is to build a self-sufficient Afghanistan.

Women are essential to building economic stability and reducing dependency. Our principled approach of engaging “by, with, and for women,” endorsed by the international community, is crucial to achieving this goal.

Encouraging people to remain in Afghanistan and contribute to its stability is not about external pressure; it reflects the genuine aspirations of the Afghan people. We firmly believe that Afghanistan truly belongs to its people.

Kind regards,

Veronika Boskovic Pohar
