Message from the Ambassador

Welcome to the website of the Delegation of the European Union to ASEAN!

Partners for more than 45 years, the European Union and ASEAN are the most successful examples of regional integration. Since December 2020, the European Union and ASEAN have engaged in a Strategic Partnership, which led to the Commemorative Summit of December 2022.

Building upon the Joint Leaders’ Statement and the 2023-2027 Plan of Action, the European Union and ASEAN continue to further develop their relationship, based on trust, mutual respect and common values and interests, on political issues, development cooperation, economic and trade opportunities and people-to-people contacts.
